As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll serve as a trusted resource for keeping our stores operating smoothly and safely. Deliver exceptional customer service while representing AutoZone professionally and adhering to company dress code standards.
Travel throughout an assigned territory, including frequent overnight travel, to support store maintenance needs.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and properly utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct routine store visits to inspect and repair building, equipment, and grounds-related issues.
Perform preventive maintenance activities to help reduce equipment downtime and facility-related disruptions.
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, structural, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.
Identify facility concerns and document store conditions using electronic reporting tools.
Manage and complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with identifying and coordinating service vendors when specialized repairs are required.
Perform basic diagnostics and support for Energy Management Systems (EMS).
Help ensure company vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
One to two years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general construction repair practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned priorities.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
