Aldar Education is hiring a Facilities & Services Officer who holds a NEBOSH qualification to join its expanding team in Abu Dhabi. This onsite, full-time post focuses on keeping the school campuses safe, well maintained and properly resourced, with a hand in accommodation management, safety and daily operations. Keeping the campus humming behind the scenes

In this role you’ll oversee the delivery of facilities and general services across the school, fostering a service culture and making sure staff and resources are deployed efficiently and on time. You’ll be responsible for keeping the facilities and housing in top condition, ensuring safety, cleanliness and effective performance from support teams. You’ll also manage the school’s accommodation needs, aligning housing for staff with policy requirements and budgets, and you’ll steer cost-conscious purchasing and contracting in line with Aldar Education policy and development plans.

Day to day you’ll supervise repairs and maintenance, arranging external providers when needed and following up to close any gaps in the initial scope of works. You’ll safeguard the site by running daily site checks with the site services team, ensuring security, safety standards and cleaning are up to par. You’ll support the rollout of policies and safeguarding measures and help plan and resource school events and activities. The role also covers central services such as catering, security, cleaning, transport and waste management, while you balance space and resources across buildings and re-organisation as required. You’ll monitor any building management systems where installed and work with the housing manager on staff accommodation standards and compliance.

What you’ll need to bring to the role

Must-have qualifications at a glance:

• A bachelor’s degree
• A graduate-level credential in a related field or a formal qualification in facilities management
• A NEBOSH certificate or an equivalent facilities-management qualification
• Minimum five years of health and safety experience, ideally in education or hospitality
• Experience with company accommodation is a plus

Nice-to-have skills and experience:

• Fluent English in writing and speaking
• Proven ability to supervise and develop a team
• Experience handling budgets, procurement processes and delegation of authority procedures
• Track record coordinating external service providers and ensuring compliance with local regulations
• Strong multi-tasking, organisational skills and attention to detail
