BASF is hiring a Field Compliance Summer Associate for its Agricultural Solutions team in Ardrossan or Sherwood Park, AB, for a four-month term in 2026 with wages of 24 to 31 per hour and overtime during peak periods. You will support trial activities across Agronomic Excellence, Breeding Operations, and Trait Development Operations, helping evaluate canola hybrids, monitor field trials, collect data, and assist with field logistics and supervising casual staff. You should be studying Agriculture or a related field with a genuine interest in agronomics or field research; a Class 5 Alberta license is required; farm or machinery experience is a bonus. The Teams
Agronomic Excellence: Working with mid-sized research plots, you will assist in evaluating new and up-and-coming hybrid canola varieties along with agronomic research trials. There are also opportunities to assist with and attend sales tours in the area.
Breeding Operations: Working with small sized research plots, you will assist in evaluating potential Parental and hybrid canola varieties being developed for the market. There will be additional opportunities to work with disease research, hybrid production, and parental nurseries (dependent on location).
Trait Development Operations: Working with small sized research plots, you will assist in evaluating potential hybrid canola varieties and traits not yet on the market. Confined field trial monitoring is also a key component of these positions.
Students will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency - Raise Recruiting.
