In Milwaukee, the Field Office Deskside Technician role sits within DMI’s Mission and Site Support Services, under the Service Delivery line of business. This on-site position is responsible for IT services at Field Offices and is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on end-user support and coordinating with a central team to keep field operations running smoothly.

Day-to-day life in the field

Based in Milwaukee, you’ll oversee IT services at Field Offices as part of the Service Delivery team within Mission and Site Support Services. You’ll steer front-line end-user support through MACD actions (Move, Add, Change, Delete), take a proactive approach to assess environments for potential issues, and deliver responsive break/fix services to keep mission operations moving. You’ll handle onsite troubleshooting and restoration of devices, coordinating with headquarters and other stakeholders to align service delivery and ensure reliability and efficiency across diverse IT environments. The aim is to boost productivity and maintain resilient IT operations across all supported sites.

What you’ll need to bring to the table

The posting requires a bachelor's degree and at least ten years of relevant IT experience.

  • Solid ability to diagnose and fix issues on end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Willingness to provide on-site IT support as needed
  • Familiarity with IT asset management practices
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ten years of relevant IT experience
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Clearance: able to clear the United States Marshal Service background check

Compensation and the practical details

Minimum salary rate: $60,000

Median salary rate: $72,000

This is an onsite role based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
