Advice for applicants
Lead your application with the fact that this is a part-time role and you’re interested in a schedule you help shape with a manager. Mention any prior experience managing flexible or part-time work and highlight your reliability and track record of meeting project criteria.
Be ready to describe how you’ve collected field data in the past, pricing, promotions, or merchandising data, and how you ensured accuracy and timely transmission of results. If you’ve used mobile apps to record and deliver field data, share concrete examples of how you navigated tasks and stayed organized on a schedule.
Prepare a few examples you can discuss in the interview that show you can stand for long periods, handle lifting, and work in cooler store areas. Tie these back to how you’d approach data collection in a real grocery-store setting.
Ask a sharp, specific question about the role, such as how typical project cadences are structured and how performance is tracked to determine the guaranteed minimum and any upside. You could also inquire how drive time and mileage are reimbursed and what the onboarding looks like for new field reps.
