Advice for applicants you can act on
Lead with evidence of your flexibility. In your resume or note to the recruiter, cite any past roles where you managed a part-time load or set your own schedule in collaboration with a supervisor, targeting around 15 hours per week.
Show you can meet the project criteria with accuracy. If you’ve done field data work before, describe how you captured information such as prices and promotions, and mention any time you took photos of displays to document merchandising. Emphasize your attention to detail and your reliability in transmitting data correctly.
Be ready for the physical and environmental aspects. Plan to discuss times when you stood for long periods and lifted up to 40 pounds, and share how you’ve handled work in cool store aisles when required.
Think of a smart question to ask in the interview. A good one is about how and when data is transmitted to the corporate office and what turnaround times look like for client delivery after submissions.
