RJC Engineers is seeking a Field Review Representative (full-time or part-time, onsite in Nanaimo) to perform field reviews of structural components on concrete, wood frame, and mass-timber projects across southern Vancouver Island. In this role you’ll work with clients and contractors, review shop drawings, prepare field reports, and coordinate with other disciplines under the guidance of senior staff while helping surface site issues for the design team. A Civil Engineering diploma or degree and a valid BC driver’s license with a dependable vehicle are required; CAD/BIM experience and prior field or consulting work are assets. Candidate Profile
We are looking for a Construction Field Review Representative, responsible for review of on-site work on a wide variety of projects on southern Vancouver Island. As a Construction Field Review Representative, you will be faced with a myriad of challenges that require you to be a versatile and creative thinker. The successful candidate will be comfortable dealing with clients, communicating with contractors, and working in a team-based environment. The focus of this position will be site review of structural components on concrete, wood frame, and mass-timber projects.
Salary: $54,000 - $80,000 (based on full-time status and dependent on experience)
This position is also eligible for overtime pay (paid at time and a half), discretionary performance bonuses, and holiday bonuses. These increase the estimated total compensation wage range to $60,000 - $95,000.
