Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Christchurch to support CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine across the lower North Island. The role suits someone with electrical, electronic, mechanical, avionics or biomedical trade training and a track record of autonomous, hands-on problem solving. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on training locally in Australia and internationally, empowering you with knowledge and skills. We have a range of products across our Medical Imaging systems including but not limited to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine.
This role will be based in Christchurch and will primarily support customers throughout the lower North Island. You will also work closely with the Southern New Zealand team to help deliver exceptional technical support and service across the region.
This role will be 5 days per week, including at least 1 weekend day and 4 weekdays. We’re also open to discussing flexible hours or shift arrangements.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Performing preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service, and installations
Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
Timely completion of Service Reports
Maintaining and expanding your knowledge through continuous training, including self-learning, computer-based courses, mentorship and hands-on experience
Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies
Your qualifications and experience:
The successful candidate will be technical or trade trained
Have the confidence to work autonomously
Having current NZ Electrical Service Technician’s electrical registration will be viewed favourably, otherwise you must meet the criteria to obtain one expeditiously.
A Radiation licence will be considered advantageous, although this can be applied for with the support of the Company.
Unrestricted drivers licence
Able to travel across NZ and overseas.

The successful candidate may be required to participate afterhours to meet operational requirements.
