Liebherr Tower Cranes is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician. The role is based at our Auckland branch and will service construction sites throughout Auckland and New Zealand. The role would be ideal for a trade technician who has had previous experience working with electrically motivated cranes (tower, gantry, overhead) or large-scale industrial equipment such as mills, crushers, conveyer systems. The hourly rate will be between $33.65 and $36.06, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required.

Duties

  • Repairs and maintenance of Tower Cranes
  • Assist rigging crews during assembly and disassembly of the Tower Crane/Hoist
  • Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards
  • Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and services
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Conduct examinations of components using specialist tools and equipment
  • Request required spare parts

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Liebherr Tower Cranes and knowledge of industrial electronics and electrical control systems
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
  • Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
  • A current driver’s license
  • High customer service focus
  • Basic Word and Excel abilities
  • Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
