What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a team of seven offshore Financial Accountants and Senior Financial Accountants, setting clear expectations, driving accountability and embedding consistent delivery against group timelines.
- Full ownership of regional P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for Europe and North America entities, including complex accounting judgements and technical journals.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of entity balance sheets, including timely preparation and review of reconciliations in line with Group accounting policies.
- Lead the end-to-end month-end close for assigned entities, delivering high-quality results for consolidation into IFRS and US GAAP group reporting.
- Oversight of revenue recognition, deferred revenue liabilities and intercompany transactions across regional entities.
- Deliver clear and commercially relevant performance commentary, including analysis of revenue, margin and cash drivers, to support regional leadership decision-making.
- Support Group statutory audit requirements (IFRS and US GAAP) and coordinate/support local subsidiary audits (UK GAAP), acting as the main contact for local external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory and internal reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions (Europe and North America).
- Partner with the brand partnerships team and other departments to resolve complex finance operational issues.
- Oversee regional treasury activities, responsible for the on-time submission of liquidity reporting and the optimisation of cash management strategies in assigned regions.
- Monitor and approve day-to-day finance operations (e.g. purchase orders, supplier invoices, customer invoice adjustments) to maintain strong internal controls.
- Coordinate with the Group Tax Manager on local tax reporting and lodgements (e.g. VAT, corporate income tax) to ensure compliance and manage risk.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and models.
- Support ad hoc projects and high-priority financial analysis as required.
What are we looking for:
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams, including offshore resources, with a focus on accountability and performance.
- Experience as a Finance Manager within a multinational environment, specifically overseeing multiple legal entities.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Expert knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP; practical experience with UK/EU VAT and income tax is highly advantageous.
- A track record of identifying financial risks and independently developing/implementing solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a global team, demonstrating the flexibility to support colleagues across various time zones (Australia, UK and US).
