Job Overview

If you’re energized by complex credit decisions, strategic financing, and building strong relationships across a major industrial portfolio, this role puts you at the center of Komatsu Financials’ North American growth. You’ll shape retail and lease credit decisions, strengthen distributor partnerships, and ensure Komatsu Financial maintains a first‑lien position on every financed asset. This is a high‑impact role for a finance professional who thrives on precision, commercial strategy, and customer‑focused execution.

 

Reports to: Director, Acquisitions
Shift: Monday-Friday, Hybrid
Safety Sensitive: No- RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 10% within Canada and the USA
Relocation:
 This position does not offer relocation

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and approve retail, municipal lease, and lease credit requests within your authority; recommend higher‑level approvals when required
  • Determine legal documentation requirements and communicate credit decisions to distributors
  • Promote Komatsu Financial products through presentations, distributor meetings, open houses, and trade shows
  • Build strong customer relationships through calls, visits, and proactive support
  • Partner with Komatsu sales teams and distributors to develop competitive financing and leasing programs
  • Monitor market rates and competitor offerings to ensure Komatsu Financial remains competitive
  • Support training initiatives for Komatsu and distributor personnel on financing programs
  • Ensure lien perfection, insurance coverage, and complete documentation for all financed or leased assets

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (business preferred) and 3–5 years of credit or finance experience
  • Strong ability to analyze financial statements and assess customer creditworthiness
  • Knowledge of Canadian provincial legal/tax requirements; ability to research global jurisdictions
  • Skilled at working with distributors, customers, internal teams, and legal/finance stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); Rapport experience an asset
  • Valid passport for North American travel required
  • French fluency an asset, including document translation
