Amsterdam based Financial Controller at Wacker Biotech, part of WACKER, will manage monthly, quarterly and annual closings, general ledger, audits, KPI monitoring, planning cycles, internal controls, VAT and CBS returns, intercompany reconciliation, asset records and process improvements while partnering with the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years' relevant experience in business economics or accountancy, strong Excel skills, and Navision or SAP experience is a plus; Dutch is essential, English proficiency required, and you must reside in the Netherlands with a valid work permit, onsite in Amsterdam. To strengthen our team in Amsterdam,
we are looking for you as a(n) Financial Controller

Job responsibilities

• The preparation of the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process and reporting;
• The general ledger accounts;
• The audits (jointly);
• Preparing financial reports and making economic analyses for management in coordination with the Head of Finance;
• KPI monitoring;
• Anomaly analyses, incl. monthly reporting;
• Support the Planning cycles;
• Advise and being sparring partner for Head of Finance;
• Internal control;
• Preparing the VAT and CBS returns;
• Intercompany reconciliation and processing IC charges;
• Record keeping and reporting on assets;
• Improvements of processes and administrative organization;
• Check and approve weekly payment run;
• Check salary administration;
• Preparation of the actual vs budget reports;
• Interest and loan reporting.
• Responsibility for credit card administration

Qualifications required

• University/University of Applied Sciences degree in Business Economics or Accountancy;
• 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in an (international) production company is a plus;
• Good knowledge of general ledger;
• Strong in Excel;
• Navision and SAP experience is a plus
