Are you a natural leader with a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences? The Pullman Rotorua is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our vibrant team! This is a full-time role reporting to the Front of House Manager and working closely with the Food & Beverage as well as the Kitchen team.

Job Description

Purpose

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you are at the forefront of creating a variety of dining experiences that showcase exceptional taste and service. Your main goal is to guide a unified team, guaranteeing the flawless execution of food and beverage operations while maintaining the establishment's high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Take the reins during busy service hours in the restaurant, setting the pace and leading by example.
  • Collaborate with your team to spark motivation and attain exceptional results together.
  • Contribute to creating schedules, nurturing team growth, and harmonising departmental efforts.
  • Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere where you will turn every moment into a memory and every experience into a story.
  • When challenges arise, your ability to transform obstacles into opportunities shines.
  • Guide your team in attaining service excellence while actively seeking out information to enhance your product knowledge.
  • To liaise with the kitchen and other departments on a daily basis to ensure all guest requirements are met.
  • To ensure beverage and food par stock levels are maintained at all times and informing manager, assisting manager to place orders.
  • Set up systems to protect and maintain control of operating equipment. Correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
  • Ensure staff are competent and knowledgeable in dining menu, special offers and wine list/ cocktails and can maximise outlet sales and upsells.
  • Ensure guest billing is correctly charged and cash up procedures are followed as per the guidelines during every meal period. 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar role Supervisory or strong team leader role for at least 2 years.
  • Preferably have worked within 5-star hotels or operations or have exceptional knowledge about food and beverage.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure seamless service.
  • A vibrant personality for creating memorable moments for guests.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, 7-day rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and enthusiasm for the hospitably and food sector, delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Passion for engaging with patrons and leading a team of diverse professionals.
  • LCQ Certificate (required).
  • Duty Manager's License (optional)
  • Qualifications in Hospitality or Tourism - desirable.
  • 30 hours per week guaranteed.
  • To be considered for this role, you must currently hold a valid New Zealand work visa or be a NZ citizen/resident. We are not currently able to provide visa sponsorship.
