Fulton Hogan is seeking a Rotorua based Foreperson to lead an on site crew delivering drainage, excavation and general civil works on time, on budget, with a strong safety focus. The right candidate brings solid drainage and excavation experience, or roading and broader civil backgrounds, and a proven track record of coaching crews and coordinating plant, labour, subcontractors and suppliers. You’ll need at least five years in civil construction, demonstrated leadership, a current Class 1 licence (Class 2 and 4 preferred), WTR endorsements and plant experience. The opportunity
Based in Rotorua, this Foreperson role will see you leading an operational crew to deliver a wide range of civil construction works safely on time and on budget.
We’re looking for someone with a broad skill set – ideally, you’ll bring solid drainage and excavation experience, but we’re also very interested in people with roading and general civil construction backgrounds who are keen to grow and diversify their skills.
On any given day you could be involved in:
Leading crews on drainage and excavation activities
Coordinating excavations and general civil construction tasks
Supporting roading and associated civil works as required
Organising plant, labour, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed to a high standard
Your leadership will help create a work environment where safety, quality and productivity come first.
In addition to the above you will:
Ensure your team adheres to all health and safety policies and procedures
Maximise your team’s daily productivity and ensure quality of works

Experience leading teams
Minimum full current class 1 licence, preferable Class 2 & 4
WTR endorsements and experience operating plant
Proven experience in supervising and leading a crews
