Your day-to-day focuses on analyses and reporting that underpin data-driven decisions, with a clear link to the operational side of the business.

You’ll work across the Schiphol and Rotterdam teams to ensure the correct financial handling of shipments, and you’ll collaborate with suppliers, BPO providers and internal stakeholders to keep financial processes precise and fit for purpose. You’ll develop and manage financial models, processes and systems while proactively spotting deviations and advising on timely course corrections. You’ll also drive improvement projects at the interface of Finance and Operations, and you’ll ensure management reporting stays timely and accurate.

  • Demonstrated experience in a financial or logistics environment
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and financial systems
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for process improvement

  • A gross annual salary in the €54,528–€74,352 range
  • Plus 8% holiday allowance
  • One-year contract with potential for a permanent appointment
  • 25 vacation days plus 5 ADV days, with option to buy or sell extra days
  • Profit sharing up to 3% when the company records positive results

Tips for applicants

Lead with your leadership experience. Make sure your resume highlights that you’ve guided a team of four to six people and helped them grow, since you’ll be coaching a similar group in this role.

Show how you bridge operations and finance. Give concrete examples of working with Air & Ocean teams and coordinating with suppliers, BPOs and internal stakeholders to get shipments financially right.

Bring specific stories about models, processes or systems you built or improved. Explain how you detected deviations and what actions you advised or implemented to steer performance back on track.

Be ready to discuss a cross-functional project you led at the Finance-Operations edge, and end with a thoughtful question about the future finance-ops initiatives, such as upcoming efforts to improve shipment costing accuracy.
