Smart moves for candidates
Tip 1: Put your strongest customer-facing experience up front on your resume. If you’ve worked in retail or sales before, lead with a concise example that shows how you helped a customer pick a solution and left them with a positive impression.
Tip 2: Demonstrate the must-have skills with a real story. In interviews, describe how you communicated clearly, built relationships, and helped a customer find a solution, ideally tying it to a positive outcome or a metric from a previous role.
Tip 3: Be ready to discuss scheduling and availability. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, so share a clear plan for how you’ll fit those hours into your week.
Tip 4: Ask a targeted question about early success and growth. For example, inquire about what the first 90 days look like, how ramp-up bonus fits in, and how performance is measured as you move toward leadership opportunities.
