Mission Australia is seeking part-time Gambling or Financial Counsellors for the GambleAware Program in Tweed Heads or Lismore, offering permanent roles with flexible hours (14-28 hours per week) and a competitive rate of $50.58 per hour plus super and not-for-profit salary packaging. You will deliver confidential counselling across in person, phone and online modalities, conduct assessments, develop client-centred plans and collaborate with communities and services to reduce gambling harm. Success requires a relevant qualification and professional membership (Bachelor or Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Diploma in Financial Counselling with FCAN), NSW driver’s license, and the ability to complete national police history checks and obtain clearance to work with children and vulnerable people. This rewarding role provides support to individuals, families, and communities impacted by gambling-related harm. As a Counsellor within the GambleAware Program, you will provide high-quality therapeutic or financial counselling services to clients experiencing gambling-related issues. You will work collaboratively with clients to identify goals, develop practical strategies, and support positive outcomes through evidence-based interventions.
