We are seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join our Data and Insights team. In this role, you will help enhance how Council uses technology by developing and maintaining GIS applications and integrating them with wider business systems. You will work with both spatial and non spatial data to support analysis, modelling, visualisation, and reporting. You will also play a key role in training staff on GIS tools and identifying opportunities to improve our systems and workflows.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in GIS, Surveying, Geography, or a closely related field, or an equivalent level of professional experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ practical GIS experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role
• Applied knowledge and hands-on experience with ESRI Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
• Strong problem solving skills and practical experience using Python
• Familiarity with FME Flow and FME Form and MS SQL Server (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in improving processes and supporting others
Additional experience in imagery analysis, ESRI deep learning tools, and a good understanding of integrated IT systems will be beneficial.
