UKAEA is seeking a Global Mobility Manager to lead its international postings, currently managing around 60 active secondments with a pipeline across the USA, France, Japan and Germany. The role shapes a strategic mobility agenda with ExCo and external partners, embeds mobility early in planning, and advises on compliant frameworks that protect the organisation and IP. You will approve allowances, manage costs and tax implications with Finance, negotiate secondment agreements with Legal and IP, and oversee outsourced mobility services while building scalable self-service tools. In your application, demonstrate Chartered CIPD, a track record delivering scalable mobility solutions, cost modelling, negotiations with Legal and IP, leadership of diverse teams and a focus on immigration, GDPR and EDI.

UKAEA currently manages around 60 active secondments, with an ongoing pipeline of new international collaborations. At least 30 additional arrangements are expected each year across a wide range of partner countries, including USA, France, Japan and Germany and secondments across UK industry, government, universities, and research institutions. Each arrangement is complex and resource-intensive, particularly overseas, and the function also supports the immigration of hundreds of international visitors annually across all programmes
