Put your most relevant credentials first. On your resume, lead with your master’s degree (or equivalent advanced qualification) and underline your total years of experience, then highlight the 5–10 years you’ve spent in related data work and governance.

Back up your must-have skills with concrete examples. Demonstrate a track record of leading teams (six to ten direct reports), building governance models, and delivering data projects that involved SAP S/4HANA and STIBO, plus measurable improvements in data quality or process efficiency.

Get ready to talk through a data governance roadmap. Prepare to discuss how you’ve driven automation across the data value chain, including creation, maintenance and validation, and how Lean or Six Sigma methods supported those efforts.

Ask a smart question that shows your future impact. Consider asking about the team structure for the Business Excellence function, the key data quality KPIs in use today, and how the company plans to scale automation and AI-enabled tools across global operations.
