Advice for applicants

Lead with your hands-on tool experience on your resume. If you’ve used air tools such as screw guns, impact guns, caulking guns, staple guns, air ratchets, or sanders, mention the specific tools you’ve worked with and the kinds of assemblies you’ve built.

Be ready to prove the must-have skills during the process. You should be prepared to demonstrate your bench or simulation test performance, and talk about how you read prints and use a tape measure to verify measurements on the job.

In interviews, you’ll likely discuss how you listen to and apply coaching feedback from Team Leads, Group Leaders and Supervisors, and how you stay aligned with daily targets while minimizing defects on a busy line.

Finally, consider asking about the bench testing process and about the training programs that help new Assembly Associates grow, including potential career paths within the Elkhart plant.
