On the shop floor, you’ll help craft boats from the ground up, using standard hand and power tools to assemble components, inspecting parts for safety and quality, and working with a cross-functional crew to keep production lines clean, safe, and efficient. The role includes training programs designed to grow your manufacturing skills and advance within the company.
Hands-on craft on the Elkhart line
As an Assembly Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping pontoon and deck boats, assembling high-quality components, structures, hardware, and accessories with a mix of hand tools and air-powered equipment. You’ll inspect finished parts to ensure they meet safety, quality, and craftsmanship standards, and you’ll collaborate with teammates and other departments to keep production moving smoothly and safely.
You'll participate in training programs to broaden your manufacturing skill set and to position yourself for future opportunities within the company, all while keeping the production area tidy and efficient.
What you’ll need to bring to the line
- You can stand, walk, reach, and frequently crouch, bend, and climb throughout a shift
- You’re comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned environment
- You can read prints and use a tape measure to capture measurements
- You have experience with common hand tools and assembly, demonstrated by a bench or simulation test
- You can listen to and follow instructions from Team Leads, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and the Plant Manager
- You recognise the importance of following work instructions to meet daily targets with zero defects
- You have reliable transportation to get to work
- Prior experience in marine or manufacturing environments is a plus
- You’re able to quickly adapt to changes in responsibilities, processes, or schedules
