TikTok is seeking a creative, organized outward facing Government Relations and Public Policy Manager for the UK to showcase the platform’s societal contributions. The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok, and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.
We are looking for a creative, organised, and outward-facing professional to join our UK team, with a particular focus on showcasing the positive economic, cultural, and societal contribution of TikTok.
In this role, you will:
- Design and execute campaigns that demonstrate the economic and societal benefits of TikTok’s services, including highlighting small businesses, creators, and communities using the platform;
- Lead on the planning and delivery of events, roundtables, and activations, including at party conferences and in partnership with creative industries associations and other external organisations;
- Work with creators, businesses, and partners to develop compelling case studies and narratives that can be used in political and stakeholder engagement;
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers and other stakeholders across the UK political system, representing TikTok’s mission, values, and principles;
- Identify, monitor, and analyse relevant public policy developments, and ensure campaigns and engagement are informed by the wider regulatory and political context;
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as communications, legal, ops, and marketing to ensure consistency of messaging and effective delivery;
- Support engagement strategies with policymakers on a broad range of public policy issues affecting TikTok and its community.
