We are seeking a Group Fitness Coordinator (known internally as Recreation Programmes Coordinator), based in Hiwa - Auckland's state-of-the-art Recreation Centre, a globally recognised award-winning new hub for health, fitness, and community in the heart of the city campus.
You will be part of a team responsible for developing and delivering high-quality freestyle group fitness programmes, events and wellbeing opportunities that contribute to the vibrant culture of our university.
You’ll be essential in the delivery of our group fitness timetable, featuring over 85 classes each week across six studios, and you will actively lead and take part in classes. In addition to our core offerings, you will also coordinate a variety of events and workshops to elevate the member experience.

This can be a part-time or full-time role (between 30 and 37.5 hours a week) and is fixed-term, running for 12 months.
Some flexible work hours will be required, including evenings and weekends, due to the nature of the business hours, schedule of activities, urgent class cover and event delivery requirements. You will teach at least 1 group fitness class per week as part of this role.
The salary range for this role is $63,600 to $79,300 prorated for part-time staff (Band E), negotiable depending on skills and experience.
