Be the first point of contact for our guests!

As part of the Guest Services department, you'll be the first face our guests see when they arrive at Mt Hutt. Your main role is to ensure they have a smooth and enjoyable start to their ski day, providing expert advice on lift passes, rentals, lessons, and all the exciting options available to them on and off the mountain. You will use your knowledge of our products and services to ensure guests are selecting the best options to suit their needs while also maximising their value for money.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests upon their arrival at Mt Hutt, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Process sales for lift passes, rentals, lessons, and other mountain services
• Provide guests with information on our products and services, ensuring they purchase the right products for their needs and offering the best value for money
• Handle guest inquiries and manage lost property
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system, ensuring accurate sales transactions and balancing at the end of each shift
• Adapt to occasional outdoor shifts, including checking lift passes at the gates, ensuring you’re flexible to support in different areas as needed
• Work with the team to maintain a smooth and efficient operation

About You

• 2+ years of front-line customer service experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
• Comfortable working indoors, with the flexibility to work outdoors on occasion
• Keen to learn about the ski industry and the products we offer
• Previous experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems is an advantage
• Able to balance a till and handle cash accurately
• Positive, friendly, and approachable with a bubbly attitude towards customer service
• Physically able to spend time on your feet and manage outdoor shifts in alpine conditions
• Team player with flexibility to assist in other areas when required, including Rentals, Food & Beverage, and Lifts

• Physically fit and ready to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong team player who communicates effectively and positively
