As part of the Guest Services team, you will play a vital role in welcoming guests to Mt Hutt and helping them get onto the slopes with ease. While your main focus will be outdoors, checking lift passes and assisting guests at the gates, you’ll also assist with indoor duties when needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in the elements but also appreciates the variety of tasks within the guest services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests upon their arrival at Mt Hutt, offering them a friendly and welcoming experience
• Check lift passes outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring all guests have the correct tickets for access
• Engage with guests to ensure they have the correct lift passes and assist with any access issues
• Occasionally assist with indoor duties, such as processing sales for lift passes, rentals, and lessons, and helping with guest inquiries and lost property
• Assist with maintaining smooth and efficient operations at the lift stations
• Operate the Point of Sale system during indoor shifts and balance cash takings at the end of the day

About You

• 2+ years of front-line customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working outdoors, even in varying alpine weather conditions
• Strong communication skills, with a friendly and engaging manner when interacting with guests
• Able to handle lift pass checks quickly and efficiently, ensuring all guests are properly ticketed
• Flexible and willing to assist with indoor duties as required
• Interest in learning more about the ski industry and the products we offer
• Previous experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is an advantage
• Positive, friendly, and energetic attitude towards customer service
• Physically fit and able to spend time on your feet, both outdoors and indoors
• Team player with the ability to collaborate and adapt across different areas of the business

• A commitment to excellent guest service and a passion for the snow sports industry
• Flexibility to assist with other departments such as Rentals, Food & Beverage, and Lifts, depending on operational needs
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors, depending on the needs of the day
• Physically fit and ready to handle both outdoor and indoor tasks, with the ability to spend time on your feet
• A strong team player who communicates effectively and approaches all tasks with a positive attitude
