The job
As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the full local finance function at GreenFlux, including financial control, business control, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, audit, tax and compliance.
You will lead a finance team of five direct reports and work closely with the GreenFlux leadership team, DKV Mobility Group finance stakeholders and other internal business partners. This is a broad role for someone who can combine strategic financial insight with strong operational execution. You are comfortable challenging the business, improving processes, and ensuring the finance function supports GreenFlux’s next phase of growth.
Your responsibilities
Business partnering and performance management
Act as a strategic finance business partner to the GreenFlux leadership team and relevant DKV Mobility Group stakeholders.
Translate financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
Support strategic and commercial decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting and scenario planning.
Drive financial transparency and performance management across the organisation.
Lead monthly business reviews and provide clear insights on performance, risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain relevant KPIs, dashboards and management reporting.
Planning, forecasting and reporting
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
Deliver timely, accurate and high-quality monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
Ensure alignment between local reporting requirements and DKV Mobility Group standards.
Improve the quality, speed and reliability of planning and forecasting processes.
Support long-term financial planning and help build scalable financial models for future growth.
Financial control, working capital and cash management
Safeguard the quality of financial administration, accounting and closing processes.
Monitor and actively manage working capital performance.
Drive accounts receivable management, overdue reduction and collection processes.
Support credit management activities and customer risk assessments.
Maintain clear cash flow visibility and reliable cash flow forecasting.
Ensure strong collaboration between finance, sales, operations and shared service functions.
Governance, audit, tax and compliance
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and governance standards.
Coordinate statutory audits and act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
Manage the annual financial statement process.
Ensure compliance with relevant Dutch and international VAT, tax and financial regulations.
Act as the local expert and point of contact for finance-related compliance matters.
Identify financial risks and ensure appropriate controls and mitigation actions are in place.
Finance operations and team leadership
Lead, coach and develop the local finance team.
Create a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Ensure clear roles, responsibilities and ways of working within the finance team.
Support team members in their professional development and help raise the overall maturity of the finance function.
Ensure effective collaboration between local finance, the wider business and DKV Mobility Group finance teams.
Finance transformation and process improvement
Drive finance process optimization, standardization and automation initiatives.
Support ERP, reporting and finance system improvement projects.
Improve the scalability of finance processes to support business growth.
Collaborate with DKV Mobility Group stakeholders on integration, harmonization and transformation initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, reporting and internal controls.
Requirements
You are a confident and reliable finance leader with strong business sense, excellent analytical skills and a hands-on mindset. You know how to create structure, challenge constructively and bring clarity in a fast-moving environment.
You are detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You can move comfortably between strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and practical follow-up with your team. You bring maturity, ownership and a collaborative attitude, and you know how to build trust across the organisation.
You have:
A completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling or business control.
At least 3+ years of experience leading and developing a finance team.
Strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, business control and performance management.
A solid understanding of Dutch financial reporting, statutory audit processes, VAT and tax compliance. Therefore, experience working in a finance position within the Netherlands is a must.
Experience working in an international, fast-growing or group-owned organization.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge and advise senior leaders.
Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools and finance transformation or process improvement projects.
The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.
Affinity with technology, SaaS, mobility, energy or sustainability is a plus.
