Qualified candidates typically hold a bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or engineering, at least five years in a high risk environment, and relevant audit certifications. Synopsis
To maintain a safe and healthy working environment in the organization as well as review and facilitate continuous improvement of health and safety management of the organizational facilities and processes.


Accountability
•    Promote and maintain employee safety by ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
•    Provide continual health and safety training and awareness within all employees.
•    Undertake health and safety inspection and audits maintaining appropriate records ensuring root causes are addressed with timely corrective action plans
•    Participate actively in all safety related events/campaigns held by the organization to ensure success of the events
•    Investigate HSE injuries and incidents to ascertain the root cause and ensure corrective actions leading to elimination/minimizing of the threats  in the future are undertaken.
•    Develop and implement safety campaigns and initiatives to pro actively promote safety within the workplace
•    Ensure all regulatory notifications and updates are maintained to ensure company compliance with legislation
•    Maintain sound knowledge of current legislation governing all HSE elements.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training Knowledge


•    Bachelor Degree in Safety Management, Engineering or relevant fields is preferred.
•    5 years of experience in a high risk environment practicing within the field of Occupational, Health, Safety & Environment 
•    Minimum NEBOSH certificate in Occupational, Health & Safety Management with a knowledge of the NFPA certification, ADOSH-SF regulation.
•    Relevant Audit certification in OSH MS (e.g., ISO 45001:2018) is preferable
