Bemac Construction Corp is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for a 2 to 3 month project near Fort McKay, AB, supporting the Kearl Lake Injection System. The 21 on, 7 off, 10 hour days schedule pays $50.77/hr and targets candidates with 5+ years in heavy civil construction, ideally oil sands/mining, plus valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification and GD I/II plus Zoom Boom credentials. You’ll perform earthworks and operate excavators, zoom booms, skid steers, and compactors, conduct pre-use inspections, read drawings, and ensure QA/QC. We are currently seeking qualified Heavy Equipment Operators to join our on-site Construction team, for a 2 to 3 month project, based out of a remote camp location near Fort MacKay, Alberta. This position offers the opportunity to participate in construction on the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System. The shift is planned to be 21 days on and 7 days off rotation, 10-hour days. While the preference is to hire candidates who resides locally, fly-in, fly-out from Edmonton, Alberta or Calgary, Alberta will be available based on eligibility.
Hourly rate: $50.77/hr.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As part of the recruitment process, successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract. In addition, standard HSE certifications may be required including Confined Space, Fall Arrest, First Aid etc.
