About the role:

 

As HR Business Partner at BioNTech, you will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with leaders in Research, Development, Operations, or Corporate Functions to drive people strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent. Your work will contribute directly to building organizational capability and fostering our unique BioNTech culture.

In this highly visible position, you will provide strategic guidance across a wide range of HR areas, including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, employee relations, and organizational design. By partnering with functional leadership, you will help shape the future of our workforce in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

 

Your contribution:

 

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges, providing strategic HR guidance and solutions
  • Shape and drive the people agenda for the function you support in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning efforts to ensure the right talent is in place
  • Support organizational structure and design while leading change management initiatives
  • Provide coaching on performance management, employee relations, and leadership development
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions
  • Consult on employee survey results to enhance engagement and derive actionable improvements
  • Act as an interface between business areas and HR Centers of Excellence to translate business needs into effective HR initiatives

 

 

A good match:

 

  • Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, labor law or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience as an HR Business Partner, additional experience in other strategic HR roles would be a plus
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business success
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and constructive cooperation with works councils
  • Proficiency in state-of-the-art HR best practices, systems, processes, and tools
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on mentality focused on results
  • Excellent German and English language skills
