Job Responsibilities:

• Create New Hire Profiles — Set up employee records, ensure accuracy of personal, job, and compensation data, and coordinate onboarding requirements.
• Process Employee Terminations — Complete offboarding steps, update systems, and ensure compliance with internal controls and legislative requirements.
• Manage Union Remittances — Prepare, reconcile, and submit union dues and related payments in accordance with collective agreements.
• Complete Weekly Payroll GL Clearing — Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, investigate variances, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare Employment Letters — Draft and issue employment verification, status change, and other HR-related letters.
• Perform Other Duties as Assigned — Support HR, payroll, and administrative functions as needed to meet operational requirements.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of finances including accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Payroll Accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or assignment.
• Thorough research and problem-solving skills.
• Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
• Capable of providing a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues.
• Excel at working well while under pressure.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bilingual in English & French is an asset
