ENGIE is seeking an HVAC Technician G2 in Abu Dhabi to keep data center mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems at peak efficiency through preventive maintenance, daily checks, and rapid emergency response. You’ll act as an expert resource, coordinating with onsite engineers and vendors, repairing HVAC and ELV systems, operating the BMS and DDC controls, keeping logs, and creating CAFM job cards while supporting 99.999% availability. Requirements include a technical diploma or ITI, 5+ years in HVAC within facilities management, and safety knowledge such as permit to work and LOTO; welding or bracing certs are a plus. HVAC Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and Daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.
- Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of HVAC (DDC, BMS, Control system), Plumbing & ELV equipment.
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility Mechanical systems.
- Maintain and operate all Mechanical/HVAC-related systems and associated equipment, Mechanical equipment, building management system.
- Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Create the Job cards in CAFM Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards that the Engineer assigns.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.
- Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Mechanical systems, ELV system, HVAC system, and other trade-related systems.
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
- Maintain essential stock of spare parts.
- Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required
- Attend training sessions and seminars.
- Other assigned tasks as requested.
Skills Required:
- Technical Diploma or ITI (Minimum 1 year course)
- 5+ years of total experience in the HVAC field in Facility Management.
Other Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Permit to Work , LOTO & similar safety procedures will be added advantage.
- Certification for bracing/welding will be an added advantage.
