Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects throughout the city.

  • Conduct thorough inspections to monitor conformance to quality, performance specifications, and code requirements
  • Perform daily field inspections at various construction sites across Abu Dhabi
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records
  • Participate in creating punch lists, overseeing testing procedures, and assisting with commissioning processes
  • Track quality assurance progress and provide regular updates to project managers
  • Contribute to the documentation for area and equipment turnovers
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of inspections and resolution of any identified issues
  • Stay updated on local building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all inspections
  • Assist with training entry-level employees on inspection procedures and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Limited experience in civil inspection or related construction field
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and quality control processes
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for documentation and reporting
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different sites within Abu Dhabi
  • Physical ability to perform field inspections in various construction environments
  • Capability to work efficiently under general supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
