Axiom is seeking an Intellectual Property Lawyer to join its London team on a full-time onsite basis, serving a diverse client roster across industries. You will draft, negotiate and advise on IP contracts such as licenses, assignments, collaborations and confidentiality agreements, and provide IP input on corporate transactions including due diligence. You’ll handle a range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, from licensing and brand protection to copyrights, trademarks and patents, while helping product and business development mitigate third-party IP risks. Requirements include several years post-qualification in-house experience (or as a secondee), UK right to work, strong commercial understanding and interpersonal skills, and openness to part-time or full-time roles. We are currently seeking an Intellectual Property Lawyer to work with various Axiom clients across all industries.

Responsibilities may include: 

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on contracts involving intellectual property, including licenses, assignments, collaborations, settlements, confidentiality agreements, and relevant commercial contracts.
• Advising on intellectual property related elements of corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence and drafting and negotiating related documentation.
• Providing support on a range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters across a variety of sectors, which may include licensing, brand protection, copyrights, trademarks and patents. 
• Supporting product & business development by mitigating third-party IP risks and defining IP strategies aligned with market goals.

Qualifications:  

• Several years of post-qualification in-house legal experience (directly, or as a secondee). 
• Openness to part-time or full-time roles.
• Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience.
• Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Right to work in the UK and be eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
