BELFOR, the global leader in damage restoration, is looking for a Joiner/Multitrader to join its Cambridge team. The role is permanent, full-time and based onsite in Cambridge, with travel across the UK as projects require. This is a hands-on position that suits someone who enjoys practical trade work and helping properties recover after floods or fires. The company sits within a worldwide network and is known for practical problem-solving and clear customer communication.

The right person will bring solid multi-trade experience, a focus on delivering quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently on site while keeping customers updated and satisfied. If you enjoy working across restoration projects and want a role with real variety and visible outcomes, this could be a good fit.

On the tools where it matters most

You’ll carry out a broad range of multi-trade tasks to BELFOR UK standards, restoring homes and small-to-medium enterprise properties to pre-loss condition with efficiency and care. Materials, tools and time need to be managed so projects stay profitable, while job sheets and site reports are completed accurately as work progresses. Clear, ongoing communication with customers, the Service Centre and colleagues is standard, and safety, quality and environmental procedures guide every step. You’ll lend flexible support to other Multi Traders when needed and take part in toolbox talks, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel across the UK may be required to support national project delivery.

Advice for applicants

Lead with your multi-trade experience. In your resume or CV, start with examples of high-quality multi-trade projects you’ve completed, especially those restoring residential or SME properties to pre-loss condition, and note any independent on-site work you’ve handled.

Demonstrate how you solve problems on site. Include concrete situations where you planned around materials, time, and costs to keep a project on track and within budget, and explain how you stayed compliant with safety rules while meeting customer expectations.

Be ready to talk through how you document work. BELFOR expects accurate documentation like job sheets and site reports, so have a short portfolio or ready stories about how you captured progress and issues in writing.

Think about interview scenarios and questions. Prepare to describe a typical restoration job you’ve managed from start to finish, including safety checks, material planning, and stakeholder updates, and consider asking about the team’s toolbox-talk cadence and how BELFOR UK supports ongoing training.
