Joiner/Multitrader
BELFORThe daily craft and care you’ll bring to the job
You’ll deliver multi-trade works that meet BELFOR UK standards and customer expectations, restoring properties promptly and safely. The role requires you to balance on-site tasks with the administrative side, ensuring you have the right tools, materials and time to complete work to a high standard. You’ll keep stakeholders updated on progress, handle site paperwork, and support your fellow tradespeople when needed. To stay compliant and effective you’ll engage in toolbox talks and ongoing training, and travel to sites around the UK when the project needs demand it.

Must-have: a proven track record of delivering high-quality multi-trade projects, with the ability to solve problems on-site and work independently. You should communicate clearly and show good customer service when dealing with clients and teammates. You’ll need to manage time, materials and costs effectively and have a solid understanding of health and safety rules and safe working practices. A relevant trade qualification or demonstrable experience in multi-trade roles is required.

Tips for applicants you can use for this role
Put your multi-trade experience up front on your resume, especially any projects where you restored residential or SME properties after loss events. Highlight not just what you did, but how you managed labour, materials and costs to meet timelines and stay within budget.
Show how you prove you meet the must-have skills: give examples of on-site problem-solving, independent work under pressure, and how you communicate with customers and team members. Mention any site documentation you’ve produced, like job sheets or site reports, and your familiarity with toolbox talks or safety training.
Be ready to talk about a recent project where safety, quality and environmental procedures were important. Prepare to describe how you balanced speed with safety and how you handled travel requirements or coordination with other trades on a job site.
Ask a precise question that reflects the role’s realities, such as how often projects require travel across the UK or what the typical mix of residential versus SME sites looks like, and how BELFOR measures project profitability on multi-trade work.
