An energetic Junior Buyer is needed to join Suitsupply’s Ready-to-Wear Production Team in Amsterdam, working full time onsite. You will follow the entire production cycle from order placement to final delivery, report supplier performance on KPIs such as OTIF, quality, lead time and price, and assist in action plans to raise performance. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in Textile Engineering or related field, with at least two years in production management or buying, strong communication for partnering with mills, and the independence to safeguard on time deliveries. Experience with production planning and tight schedules, plus sustainability awareness, will set you apart. What You Will Do:
- Follow and assist in the entire production cycle, from order placement to final delivery.
- Report on the performance of your suppliers (mills and ateliers) on key KPIs, including OTIF delivery, quality, lead time, and price.
- Assist in the creation of performance and quality-driven action plans for each of your suppliers.
- Use your hands-on approach and independent work ethic to follow up the production process and safeguard deliveries on time for all your suppliers.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production management or buying.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create strong partnerships with our mills and production facilities.
- Experience in production planning and understanding of production processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in working with tight delivery schedules.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in production processes is a plus.
