Picnic’s Junior Project Manager in International Facility Management is the bridge between strategy and local operations, owning standardized FM processes across NL, DE, FR, and driving the FM Knowledge Hub to ensure a single source of truth. You’ll lead cross-country improvement projects, collaborate with QS, Budgeting and Operations, and translate vague requests into concrete plans with clear timelines. Success hinges on hands-on, proactive stakeholder management, on-site workshops, and a passion for process engineering and continuous improvement. To apply, show 0-3 years PM or engineering experience, a finished HBO or Master’s, fluent English with Dutch/French/German, and a willingness to travel; highlight outcomes, cross-country collaboration, and your ability to own documentation.
As a Junior Project Manager in the International Facility Management (FM) team, you are the backbone of our scalable building infrastructure for the supply chain. You bridge the gap between high-level international strategy and local operational execution. You are responsible for standardizing processes across all three countries (NL, DE, FR), owning the FM knowledge base, and leading projects that improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of our Fulfillment Centers and Hubs. You don't just "manage" facilities; you engineer the processes that make them run like a machine.
Standardization & Process Engineering
Harmonize operations: Analyze existing workflows in different countries to identify discrepancies. Design and implement standardized FM procedures and policies that work internationally while accounting for necessary local exemptions.
Procedure governance: Act as the guardian of the "Picnic Standard." When a local Facility Manager creates a working instruction, you critically review it for scalability and impact beyond their direct scope, and ensure international alignment.
Documentation owner: You are the owner of the FM Knowledge Hub. You ensure the FM pages (Confluence) are the "single source of truth." You drive the content, ensuring it is crisp, up-to-date, and accessible.
Project Management & Execution
Lead capability projects: Take ownership of specific improvement projects (e.g., 24/7 on-call support, emergency lists, site entry protocols, maintenance risk analysis).
Cross-functional alignment: Work directly with Quality & Safety (QS), Budgeting, and Operations teams to ensure FM projects align with broader company goals.
Structure & delivery: Turn vague requests into concrete project plans. You break down complex tasks, create realistic timelines, and ensure delivery on deadlines.
Stakeholder Management & Support
Primary support for Facility Managers: Support Facility Managers cross-country by providing them with the tools, templates, and data they need to successfully implement new processes.
Chasing & unblocking: You proactively chase stakeholders for input and do not hesitate to escalate when projects are blocked. You are comfortable demanding results from others to keep the pace high.
On-site engagement: Regular presence on-site (workshops, audits) to understand the physical reality of the processes you are designing.
