Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with your CDD, KYC, AML and financial crime experience, and highlight any work with corporate structures, ownership analysis, and UBO identification so the reader sees you’re a fit for the core duties.
Show how you prove you have the must-have skills by weaving in concrete examples. Describe a case where you reviewed corporate documents across jurisdictions, spotted red flags, and escalated appropriately, including how you documented the audit trail and collaborated with other teams.
Prepare to talk through end-to-end KYB work in interviews: onboarding reviews, periodic checks, and remediation efforts, plus your approach to EDD when required. Be ready to discuss the controls you helped implementing or improvements you led and how you kept up with evolving AML and sanctions guidance.
Ask a target question that reveals how the team handles risk and remediation. For example, inquire about a recent remediation initiative, how cross-functional teams interact during high-risk escalations, and what metrics they use to measure the effectiveness of KYB controls.
