COLAS is seeking a Labourer/Flagger in North Bay for a full-time onsite overnight role to support the Hwy 17 project. You’ll safely operate a loader, load aggregates, maintain stockpiles, perform fluid checks and routine maintenance, and complete maintenance logs, while adhering to OH&S guidelines. This night shift runs 7 pm to 7 am; candidates must have reliable transport, be comfortable outdoors in extreme weather and dust and noise, and be a strong team player. Key qualifications include loader experience, a valid driver’s license with daily vehicle access, punctuality, and flexibility to work weekends. Emphasize prior construction or equipment maintenance, Core training, and nights readiness.

Your responsibilities will include safely maneuvering equipment to perform tasks such as loading trucks, maintaining stockpiles, and lifting materials. You’ll also be responsible for performing all fluid level checks and conducting routine maintenance on the equipment, cleaning, servicing, and performing minor repairs to ensure optimal performance. Conducting pre-operational checks on equipment, completing maintenance records.
We are currently hiring a Loader Operator to support our overnight construction operations (7pm – 7am). Successful candidates will work as part of a crew to safely complete a variety of duties contributing to the efficient delivery of the Hwy 17 Project.
$28-$30/hr
