The Plant People are seeking a Landscape Construction Site Foreman in Auckland to lead a 2 to 8 person crew on large scale commercial landscapes, bringing creativity, precision and excellence to projects across the region. The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years in building and hard landscaping, strong carpentry and general construction knowledge, and the ability to read architectural plans, with physical fitness and a positive team mindset. Must hold a full Class 1 driver’s license with Class 2 and WTR endorsements a bonus. You will construct timber and block retaining walls, boardwalks, bridges, decking, handrails and fencing, handle paving and concrete prep, liaise with main contractors, landscape architects and subcontractors, and support planting and grounds work. ✨ What You’ll Bring:

• 5 to 10 years of building/hard landscaping experience

• Depth of knowledge and skills - Carpentry, landscape & general construction knowledge

• Ability to read and understand architectural plans

• Physically fit with a strong work ethic

• Positive attitude and team spirit

• Experience in landscaping/horticulture (a bonus!)

• Leadership skills - the ability to run a team of 2-8 guys

• Full Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 and WTR endorsements are a plus)

• Excellent communication skills

🛠️ What You’ll Do:

• Construct timber and block retaining walls, boardwalks, bridges, decking, handrails, and fencing

• Paving & Concrete prep-knowledge of reading plans with heights & falls

• Work with main contractors and landscape architects to bring designs to life

• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed on time and to standard

• Perform garden enhancement, ground preparation, planting, mulching, and staking

• Support grounds maintenance and assist other landscaping teams as needed
