This is why Bupa's West Auckland Laundry Services in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland is searching for a Laundry Worker to join the team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents. This is a casual position hence there won't be any guaranteed hours of work.
Our laundry operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with four shifts, across Monday to Sunday. You may expect to pick up 2-3 shifts per week, but there is no guarantee on set shifts.
Our range of shifts are:
- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Where You Will Make an Impact
- Ensuring all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and returned to owners.
- Operating all laundry equipment as specified.
- Meeting of daily schedule to keep laundry up to date and advising Manager of any issues that impact on the maintenance of this.
- Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry.
- Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs.
- Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
What About You
- Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, however not essential as we will provide training.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm, strong empathy, and a passion for making a difference to our residents’ lives.
- You will be a team player, with the ability to work independently, and who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever needs to get done.
- Have reliable transport or travel arrangements.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
