Our Talent Acquisition team is looking for a passionate and strategic Talent Acquisition Consultant to lead end-to-end recruitment and partner with business leaders and candidates to attract top talent across Tāmaki Makaurau.

This role primarily supports our Community Wellbeing department - one of the largest and fastest-moving operational areas across Auckland Council.
You will partner closely with hiring managers to recruit a broad range of front-line and operational roles in a fast-paced environment, helping ensure our communities continue to receive exceptional services.
Formed in June 2024 as part of the wider Customer and Community Services transformation, Community Wellbeing is centred on place-based, community-focused customer experiences and the integrated delivery of services across our community centres, libraries, community hubs, and arts facilities.
Ngā kawenga matua: Key responsibilities
As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will lead recruitment from initial briefing through to offer acceptance and onboarding support. This includes partnering with hiring managers to define requirements, advertising roles, shortlisting, interviewing, and delivering great hiring outcomes.
Due to the size of this portfolio, you will work alongside two other Talent Acquisition Consultants in a group of 3 to support this department’s recruitment needs.
While your primary function will be to service this department, there is an expectation with our team that we allocate resource flexibly. This may look like supporting different departments, or helping other Talent Acquisition Consultants with their workload at times

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across varying levels of seniority
• Communicate confidently and effectively, both written and verbally
• Partner with HR teams to ensure recruitment processes and policies are followed
• Embed themselves within the business to develop a strong understanding of stakeholder needs
• Recruit front-line and operational roles at pace while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Deliver an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers
• Balance day-to-day delivery with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and project work
