Lead, ERP Training
Teck Resources LimitedTeck Resources Limited is seeking a Lead, ERP Training to guide the global SAP training program as the company moves to a unified ERP platform. The role is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with a hybrid work model and reports to the Program Manager, Organizational Readiness. It’s a chance for an experienced training leader to own the strategy and work closely with a systems integrator and cross-functional teams across the ERP program.
The Vancouver office sits in the heart of downtown, in a city known for its cultural diversity and access to nature. Teck’s corporate office hosts several corporate functions aligned to its purpose of providing essential resources the world relies on, and the Lead, ERP Training will help ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to operate on the new SAP platform and updated business processes.
As the representative for the Training workstream, the successful candidate will partner with the Systems Integrator, Organizational Readiness, Change Management and business leaders to translate requirements into practical training solutions, design standardized training standards, and oversee the rollout of training globally. They should be comfortable operating in a changing environment and communicating with a broad mix of disciplines.
Mapping the SAP training path across a global program
The role owns the development and execution of the enterprise SAP training strategy, determining how learning will be delivered, what resources are needed, the delivery infrastructure, and deployment plans that support the transition to SAP S4/HANA and related business processes.
Training plans and curricula will be coordinated across corporate offices, functions and operations to ensure alignment with future-state SAP processes and business requirements, with content tailored for regional, functional and role-specific needs.
Collaboration will occur with Organizational Readiness, Change Management, the Systems Integrator and business leaders to ensure business and process requirements translate into effective training solutions that accelerate adoption.
Materials will be built, developed and quality-checked, using blended learning approaches to fit different regions and roles, and training resource planning will cover system testing, development, train-the-trainer programs, end-user sessions and post-go-live support.
A sustainment model will be created to keep training content accessible and up to date after go-live, and the training will be integrated with Teck’s broader knowledge management and learning strategy to support long-term usability.
Performance will be defined and monitored, with regular updates on participation, completion and learner readiness, plus escalation of any risks to program leadership; the Lead will guide the Training team on resourcing, budgets, schedules and quality to ensure delivery.
Additional duties may be assigned to support the ERP program’s broader goals, with the role requiring adaptable leadership to move the program forward.

Be ready to discuss specific training plans you designed, your approach to change management, and how you ensured content met regional and role-specific needs. Bring an outline or sample training material that demonstrates your process from requirements to delivery.
