The Tauranga City Council is seeking a Library and Community Hub Leader for Te Ao Mārama Pāpāmoa, a full‑time 40‑hour role based at the Papāmoa Library and Community Centre with Sunday to Thursday hours. You will lead the Service Delivery Team, drive lifelong learning and literacy in the community, and partner with the Papāmoa Community Centre to keep the building welcoming, safe and activated through programmes and events. Key duties include coaching staff, resolving customer queries and de‑escalating conflicts, providing accurate information across Council activities, and building strong cross‑council relationships. Requirements include a relevant library or information management qualification, at least 3 years’ leadership in libraries or a customer service centre, coaching experience, calm leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to te reo Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We are seeking an experienced person to lead our Service Delivery Team at Te Ao Mārama - Pāpāmoa Library & Community Hub. This is an amazing opportunity to join a welcoming, customer-focussed team in Tauranga’s largest suburb.
This is a full-time, 40 hr per week position based at the Pāpāmoa Library and Community Centre, with hours worked Sunday-Thursday.
