Boeing Defence Australia is inviting a Logistics Support Analysis Lead to join the MQ-28 Ghost Bat program in Brisbane. The role lives in the MQ-28 Operations and Test team and reports to the MQ-28 Logistics Engineering Manager. It’s a permanent, full-time position that’s worked onsite, with the option to base in Brisbane or Amberley. If you enjoy guiding a diverse team, solving complex logistics puzzles, and contributing to a high-profile defence program, this could be a solid fit.

The MQ-28 Ghost Bat program is a major initiative that aims to give Defence a disruptive advantage. Boeing Defence Australia is expanding the project team and needs a capable lead to deliver engineering support services across the program. The right person will be an effective communicator who can motivate colleagues spread across different locations and keep the work moving in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day work in the MQ-28 logistics footprint

In this role you’ll steer the creation, analysis and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support artefacts, ensuring the logistics backbone supports operations as the program progresses. You’ll validate Logistics Product Data through PSA techniques to make sure provisioning data meets the program’s requirements, and you’ll align analyses and reporting with provisioning needs to keep logistics support on track. You’ll draw on your technical understanding to keep maintenance support equipment ready and fit for use, and you’ll follow established quality processes to keep the LPD accurate and complete in line with team plans and GEIA-STD-0007C and GEIA-HB-0007B. You’ll also work closely with fellow Product Support members, doing self-checks, identifying process improvements and helping the team finish tasks on time to support project milestones.

The essentials to win this role

  • Australian citizenship with eligibility to obtain an NV1 level Defence Security Clearance
  • Willingness to work onsite in Brisbane or Amberley

Extras that can set you apart

  • Experience in engineering, maintenance, operational or supply support environments, or defence knowledge
  • Exposure to developing GEIA-STD-0007C, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692 or S3000L Logistics Product Data
  • Background in preparing Integrated Logistics Support Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) such as ILS-550 RCMAR, ILS-560 LORAR, or ILS-1050 Codification Data

Pay, perks and practical details

The position is permanent and full-time, based onsite in Brisbane with the option for Amberley. Boeing Defence Australia highlights benefits such as flexible working options, study assistance, salary packaging, an employee incentive program and global opportunities. The company emphasises an inclusive workplace and supports applicants from diverse backgrounds, including explicit encouragement for female applicants and those with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage or ex-defence personnel. A Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level (minimum) is expected, and Australian citizenship is required.

Smart moves for applicants

Lead your resume with concrete examples of Integrated Logistics Support artefact work, especially where you’ve developed or delivered LSA outputs and LPD data using PSA methods. Make sure you call out your Australian citizenship and any NV1 eligibility clearly so the reviewers can see you meet the must-have security requirements.

Show how you’ve collaborated with product support teams or cross-functional groups, including any experience coordinating work across geographically dispersed teams. Include demonstrable outcomes or improvements you’ve driven in quality control, data accuracy or provisioning alignment to strengthen your fit for this role.

Be ready to talk through GEIA-STD-0007C, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692 and S3000L concepts, plus any hands-on work you’ve done with ILS Contract Data Requirements Lists. The interview may explore your approach to delivering reliable logistics support under demanding program timelines and how you prioritise self-checks and process improvements in a team setting.

Consider asking about the current top challenge in provisioning and LPD quality for the MQ-28 program, how the Brisbane and Amberley teams collaborate on logistics tasks, and what success in the first six months would look like for the new lead.
