Job Description

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role. 

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. We are seeking a mature approach to handling what can be considered difficult situations. We want someone whom is motivated and not afraid to approach. You will need great communication skills and be a peoples person. This role is fundamentally the front line of Profit protection and a deterrent to dishonest behavior. We have in house training to get the right person up to speed with our polices and processes surrounding NZ Privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor security cameras 
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor 
  • Interact with customers and address their concerns
  • Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.  

Qualifications

He kōrero mōu ake - About you

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, is required. You mut have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods. You will be constantly screening the CCTV system to monitor and observe customers while they are in our store.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure is essential.
