Dubai, AE

Marriott International is hiring a Loss Prevention Supervisor for a Dubai property. This is a full-time, on-site role where you’ll patrol the property, secure rooms, and help guests gain access to rooms. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys partnering with guests and colleagues to keep everyone safe while delivering the level of service Marriott is known for.

The position blends guest service with security responsibilities. You’ll conduct emergency response drills, carry out daily safety inspections, run investigations and interviews, and perform key control audits. Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, authorizing access to secured areas, and assisting guests and staff during emergencies are all part of the daily routine. You’ll collect information, prepare reports, and keep sensitive documents confidential, defusing disturbances in line with company policies and protecting property and assets. Marriott places a premium on safety, discretion, and professional conduct in every interaction.

Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.

A typical day on the security team

On a typical day you’ll patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms, and help guests with access. You’ll run emergency drills, perform safety inspections, and carry out investigations and interviews, while documenting information clearly and keeping reports confidential. You’ll watch CCTV and alarm systems, authorize access to secured zones, and be ready to assist guests and employees in an emergency. When issues arise, you’ll defuse disturbances according to policy, resolve safety hazards, and respond to interruptions or complaints. You’ll escort unwelcome persons from the property and ensure compliance with alcohol control laws, calling for help using proper code responses and handing over the correct paperwork to colleagues as needed.

Beyond daily security tasks, you’ll assist management in training and guiding the team, serving as a role model for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. You’ll follow all company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions to your manager, and complete safety training and certifications. Maintaining a professional appearance, protecting proprietary information, and building positive relationships with guests and staff help the team reach common goals. The role involves physical demands: moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects, with weights up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifts with assistance; you’ll need to move through narrow or elevated spaces and work for extended periods.

Your must-have toolkit for the role

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of related security or loss-prevention experience
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • No license or certification is required for this position

While the job notes a preference for safety training and certifications as part of the role, there is no separate licensing requirement listed beyond completing safety training and certifications that the job duties call for.

Practical details you should know

This is a full-time, onsite role anchored in Dubai, AE. The position emphasizes professional appearance and conduct, the protection of company assets and confidential information, and adherence to safety policies and procedures. It also involves practical tasks such as reading and visually verifying information, using computers or point-of-sale systems as needed, and carrying out daily duties that may require standing, walking, and navigating stairs or service ramps.

Advice for applicants

Lead your resume with your most relevant security experience and clearly mention any supervisory responsibilities you’ve held, since you need at least two years in related work and one year of leadership.

To prove you meet the must-haves, describe specific investigations you’ve supported, the reports you prepared, and the way you handled key-control tasks. If you’ve completed safety training or certifications, mention them with dates and outcomes, and highlight your experience with CCTV monitoring and access control.

In interviews, be ready with a concrete example of how you defused a disturbance or responded to an emergency, including the steps you took, the policies you followed, and the outcome. Explain how you balance guest service with security duties and how you apply confidentiality in reporting and investigations.

Ask a thoughtful question about how the property uses the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy in daily security operations and how the team measures success for the loss-prevention function. A good question signals you understand the policy and want to integrate it into your approach to safety and service.
