TE Connectivity is hiring a part time Maintenance Mechanic V in Milpitas to troubleshoot and repair advanced semiconductor process equipment including vision systems, diffusion furnaces, sputter tools, plasma etchers and vacuum systems. You’ll perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance, own small projects, document quality steps, coordinate with outside vendors and handle chemicals and gases to keep production up. A strong candidate has manufacturing and semiconductor equipment maintenance experience, electronics or vacuum certification, the ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings, and solid problem solving with good written and verbal communication; ISO awareness and MEMS or diffusion furnace experience are a plus. Job Overview

Responsible for performing electrical and /or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems with non-functioning electromechanical equipment such as vision systems (auto/semi-auto), photolithography, metal sputter deposition, plasma etchers, wafer aligners, diffusion furnaces, turbo pump, cryo pump, deep reactive ion etch and wet benches.

Part Time Position: Tuesday and Wednesday 7:00am-3:30pm (flexible) 

Job Requirements

  • Use of test and diagnostic equipment, i.e. VOM, Vacuum leak detector, etc… to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place
  • Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment.
  • Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks
  • Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
  • Work with outside vendors as required
  • Process chemical and gas handling
  • Maintain critical spares inventory

What your background should look like

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in semiconductor process equipment maintenance
  • Certification in electronics//electrical, RF and/or vacuum technology
  • Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to learn quickly with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience troubleshooting vacuum systems

 

ADDITIONAL DESIRED Skills and Experience

  • Silicon MEMS process experience
  • Experience on diffusion furnaces (LPCVD, Oxidation, Anneal)
  • Experience troubleshooting RF systems
  • Experience on plasma etchers (Tegal 901/903, Alcatel DRIE, Tepla Gigabatch)
  • ISO 14001 awareness training
  • ISO IATF 16949 awareness training
  • Ability to work day or swing shift

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,500 - $155,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
