Foodstuffs is looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to manage engineering activities across Supply Chain sites in your geography, lead Engineering Assistants and contractors, and ensure timely reactive and preventative maintenance with a strong safety and 5S focus. You’ll plan resources, coordinate CAPEX projects, maintain the asset register in MEX, and report KPIs while collaborating with Property and site leadership to deliver a customer-first approach. With over 1,000 team members, we move more than 97.8 million cartons a year, covering 19 million kilometres — that’s nearly 24 round trips to the moon! Te Tūranga – About the role  As a Maintenance Team Leader you’ll be responsible for ensuring all Engineering related activities across Supply Chain sites in your geography are well planned, communicated and executed. You will be a senior member of the Engineering team and regularly assign work to Engineering Assistants and contractors. What you’re responsible for:                    ·       Ensuring completion of on-site maintenance and engineering work.·       Managing and coordinating activities of Engineering Assistants and contractors for timely reactive and preventative maintenance.·       Supporting all Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI) sites with planned activities, being flexible with job location.·       Planning and allocating resources to execute activities safely and efficiently.·       Documenting and communicating all work to relevant stakeholders.·       Supporting Health & Safety (H&S) team with Permit Issuing, Risk Assessments, and Incident Investigations, proactively identifying and eliminating risks.·       Maintaining the Equipment Asset register in MEX and documenting all asset movements.·       Scoping, planning, and executing small to medium CAPEX projects.·       Coordinating site engineering KPIs and reporting requirements.·       Collaborating with the Property and Tenant Facilities team as a tenant representative for site works.·       Working with site operational leadership to deliver a customer-first approach.·       Ensuring all engineering work areas are clean, organised, efficient, and adhering to 5S principles.  Ngā painga - What we offer We’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits ·       Free carparking - we’ve got over 1,000 carparks including 36 free EV plugs ·       Southern cross health insurance, Foodies superannuation scheme ·       Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores ·       A day off on your birthday and long service leave  ·       Inhouse learning and development programmes and courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes).  He kōrero mōu - About you  The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:·       Relevant skills and experience working as an Engineering technician with demonstrated capability to “step up”.·       Experienced MEX (CMMS) user and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.·       Permit to Work qualified and Risk Assessment experience favourable.·       MHE / EWP licenses (or the ability to obtain licenses) are required. ·       Critical Risk training (Working at Heights, Hot Works, Confined Spaces, Risk Assessments)·       Strong planning and time management skills. ·       Ability to balance conflicting demands and achieve results.·       Effective communication skills - both verbal and written. Experience awesome.
